PORTLAND OREGON PERSONAL INJURY ATTORNEY
The following are letters from our former clients and members of their families telling about their cases, the results and what it was like to be represented to by Oregon Personal Injury Attorney, James F. O'Rourke, Jr.
Some of these persons are willing to talk directly with persons who are seriously considering hiring this firm to represent them or their family members in Oregon personal injury cases.
PERSONAL INJURY TESTIMONIALS
After my auto collision, I selected James F. O’Rourke, Jr. to represent me in my claim against the driver who caused the accident. Even though, I am an insurance agent it provided me with a great sense of relief to be represented by a knowledgeable and skilled attorney through the claims process.
Mr. O’Rourke and his staff took care of everything. They assisted me with all aspects of the case. I really appreciated the regular contact with the office.
During settlement negotiations, Mr. O’Rourke really went the extra mile to obtain the best possible resolution of the case. I was informed regularly throughout the process and ultimately we were able to settle my case with a great result. Mr. O’Rourke settled the case for much more than I expected based on what I saw my insurance customers get for their claims with similar cases. Mr. O’Rourke took the stress out of the settlement by ensuring that all of my medical providers were paid. Since the closure of my claim I have truly been able to leave the whole ordeal behind me.
When my young daughter was bitten by a vicious dog at my friends home I did not know what to do. I am so thankful that I was referred to your office and that I hired you to represent her.
My daughter’s injuries were severe. After the wounds on her face healed she was required to go through surgery for scar revision. She will continue to have scars on her face for her lifetime. I can not tell you how much it meant to me that you were always there to hold my hand and guide me every step of the way. Ultimately you were able to obtain a larger settlement for my daughter than I ever thought possible.
On the occasions when I had to bring my daughter into your office during the case you and your staff were great with her. After the first time I brought her in it was more like a visit to relatives then a visit to an attorney’s office.
If I or my family and friends ever need an attorney’s services again you are the only attorney that I would consider to represent me.
Thank you again for taking such good care of me and my daughter!
Very Truly Yours,
Thank you all for the excellent way you handled my case. To anyone thinking of hiring Mr. O’Rourke for their legal issues, I highly recommend this firm.
Mine was a personal injury case, and I was offered $2,100.00 by the insurance company and the depreciation on my car as a result of the accident was $5,500.00. The insurance company would not talk to me about my concerns.
I had injuries as a result of the accident, back and right foot. Still the insurance companies would not address my concerns. I had never thought about going to a lawyer because I could not afford any legal fees.
I called Mr. O’Rourke’s office and the conversation was pretty straight forward. If you do not receive any money, we do not receive any money. So I decided to try.
Mr. O’Rourke was true to his word. No surprises, no hidden fees, I received $33,000.00. I paid off my car. I am sure the insurance company wishes they had talked to me more about the $5,500.00 I wanted in the beginning.
Please if you have concerns about your case and think you have a case worth looking into contact Mr. O’Rourke’s office. You will be treated with respect and they will work hard to get you the maximum dollars and you do not have to talk to the insurance companies and get the run around any longer. Mr. O’Rourke’s office handles everything.
Best decision I ever made.
I am thankful for James O'Rourke and Associates. This has been a long ordeal for me full of anguish and loss. In July 2007, I was in a rear end accident, actually the second of two accidents such as this. I had a metal plate and screws placed in my neck from the first car accident and with this second accident two screws were sheared off from the first plate. I had surgery December of 2007 and two more plates and eight screws were placed in my neck from C2 to C7. I had nerve damage to my right arm and right hand and chronic pain. Through this accident and recovery I went through a divorce and subsequent loss of job and home July of 2008. Through all of this James O'Rourke and his staff were my rock, encouraging me, listening to me and telling me to hang in there. Three years went by as O'Rourke and Associates worked on my case and I struggled to live. Even though I had a pre-existing condition from an earlier surgery, they were still very optimistic and told me that it would all work out.
I would call every week asking for new information so I could continue to stay hopeful. I needed this money. I was living on unemployment and it was running out as Oregon had such a high unemployment economy. My son had moved in from losing his job and my daughter was finishing up in High School. I was expected to be everyone's rock and take care of everything on $980 a month. I was scared. Every time I felt this fear creeping up on me I would call James O'Rourke's office. My pain from nerve damage that never went away after surgery, stress of paying rent, electricity, gas and having enough for food and two kids, was debilitating. Yet they never became frustrated with my neediness of "when?" "When would this case be over?"" When would I see the light?"" When would I see some money?" They always took my phone calls and kept my spirits up.
I received the phone call on July 2, 2010. They told me to come into the office to sign the settlement papers. I cried and cried. The case was over. I had received the full amount of $250,000.00. I went to their office and Mr. O'Rourke was waiting for me. He and his staff gave me hugs and were very happy this long wait was over. I walked out of the office with my check in hand, in shock and wondering how my life would change. Money should not ever change who you are but it does relieve the day in day out stress of how you will pay your bills and live. I needed a vacation.
Mr. O'Rourke, Julitta, and everyone thank you for all of your support, warm words and caring. Thank you so much for taking my case and all your hard work.
I was hit by an automobile while riding my motorcycle. I received several injuries but the worst was an open fracture of my small finger. My injuries required two surgeries. I tried to work with the insurance company on my own in order to get all of my medical bills paid. After being lead on by them for some time it became obvious to me that I would have to pay the bills so that they did not go to collections.
I talked to my brother-in-law, who is an attorney, and he referred me to James F. O'Rourke, Jr. Working with Mr. O'Rourke and his staff was the best experience I have ever had when working with attorneys. His knowledge and expertise in motorcycle accident cases was impressive. I felt supported through the entire process.
We were able to settle my case for much more than I had hoped when I was dealing with the insurance company on my own. My only regret is that I did not find Mr. O'Rourke earlier; It would have saved me so much time and aggravation.
I appreciate Mr. O'Rourke's hard work and integrity!
Three years ago my husband, myself and our three young children were in a terrible automobile accident. We were headed north on I-5 coming home form a California trip when we came upon a construction zone and had to slow down to 5 mph. Suddenly, we were rear ended by a careless, college driver who was going at least 60 mph. She was playing with her laptop computer while driving and didn't realize traffic had slowed down. Needless to say, our new Ford Expedition was completely totaled in one hit. We were all taken by an ambulance to a Roseburg hospital. I had to undergo one and half years of intense physical therapy and many other doctor visits for severe whiplash and TMJ. My husband also had much physical therapy for a lower back injury from the accident. Thankfully, our kids were fine.
We would not have made it through this terrible experience without the help of James O'Rourke and his assistant, Cyndi Becker. Their legal expertise and ambition was invaluable to us as we didn't have a clue as what to do. We truly rested assured knowing they were handling our legal affairs in this matter. As this was a completely new experience for us, they "held our hands" the whole way. They were always very good about keeping us informed, letting us know exactly what we needed to do on our end and taking care of all the other details. We felt they were always on top of our case and we weren't just another client. In the end, they really fought to make sure we were well taken care of. James O'Rourke is trustworthy and fair and his assistant, Cyndi Becker truly went the second mile to make sure things were well taken care of for us. We highly recommend James O'Rourke and his staff!
I am writing this letter to thank you for the work you did on my motorcycle accident. I must say that I was impressed by your individual treatment of the issues in my case. I was amazed and impressed with your personal attention to making sure my needs were met and my family was protected. One example of that was how you actually drove to my home to meet with me and my family at a time when we were in fear, confused, and overwhelmed regarding the accident. I was also impressed with your use of an investigator and how he visited the scene of the accident and prepared a thorough report that I felt was very helpful in my case. I was satisfied with the settlement which included all the insurance money and a significant amount of money directly from the driver of the automobile. I think the most important and valuable service you offer is handling sensitive, highly emotionally charged issues with an understanding that seems to make things much easier to deal with and accept. You have a calming presence about you that let me know that while things were difficult at the time, everything would work out if we simply trust the process and let you do your job. I can say without hesitation that your were accurate. I thank you and my family thanks you for all the help you provided at such a difficult time in my life.
